Pacemaker and Defibrillator Implantation and Followup

Elite Cardiology Solutions provide pacemaker and automatic implantable defibrillator (AICD) insertions and device follow up servies. A pacemaker is implanted in patients whose conduction system is not functioning normally. An AICD is implanted in patients with history of sudden cardiac death, and/or weakened heart muscle (cardiomyopathy). Two weeks following the implantation, the patient will be seen in the office to evaluate the device function and wound healing. Patient with pacemakers will have transtelephonic monitoring every two months; the device will be evaluated by phone. Patients with AICD will have their device evaluated in the Device Clinic every 3 months. All implantations will be done in the Electrophysiology Lab.
