Loop Recorder Implantation

Loop recorders are small devices that are implanted under the skin in specific areas of the chest to monitor your heart’s electrical activity for up to three years. These devices are usually implanted in patients with fainting spells in the setting of heart disease. The device automatically records your heart’s electrical activity and transmit data to your physician for monitoring or therapy purposes.
